Battersea names new CFO

Battersea Power Station Development Company has appointed Benn Zemek as chief financial officer.

Benn, who will take on the role on 1 May, has been with the company for five years and is the current head of investment management and corporate finance, having arranged more than £2bn of development finance for the Battersea project.

He previously worked on real estate investment management and advisory services at a number of investment banking and private equity firms within Australia and the UK, including Macquarie Bank.

The announcement follows the appointment of Simon Murphy as chief executive after Rob Tincknell stepped down from the role after 10 years.

Dato’ Johan Bin Ariffin, chairman of Battersea Project Holding Company, said: “Benn’s deep knowledge of the project, as well as his financial acumen, make him highly qualified to take on the CFO role.”
