Battersea Power Station reveals phase three designs

Battersea Power Station has released its latest designs for Battersea Roof Gardens and Prospect Place, which form part of the third phase at what will be known as Electric Boulevard on the 42-acre development.

Battersea Roof Gardens, designed by Foster + Partners, will be home to a new 167-bedroom hotel boasting a rooftop swimming pool and bar, while Prospect Place, a cluster of five buildings designed by Gehry Partners, will provide new homes with either winter gardens or terraces.

The first phase, known as Circus West Village, is now home to more than 1,000 residents. The second phase, which is the redevelopment of the power station designed by WilkinsonEyre, is expected to open in 2021 and house tech giant Apple’s London headquarters.

Apartments at the scheme, which is expected to provide 4,239 homes and 3.5m sq ft of mixed commercial space, start from £510,000.

Simon Murphy, chief executive of Battersea Power Station, said: “We are making real progress now with the transformation of the Power Station, which will soon become one of London’s most exciting new destinations, home to Apple’s London campus, as well as several hundred shops, restaurants, events spaces and, of course, some of the finest residences in the world.

“Momentum is also building on our third phase, which brings together the very best architects in the world to create something truly unique for London.”

Mark Hutton, head of sales and lettings at Battersea Power Station, added: “We are continuing to see strong levels of demand from buyers, both domestically and overseas, having sold more than £120m of property in the last year alone.”
