Battersea powers up development team with Stanhope hire

The new owners of Battersea Power Station have appointed Alistair Shaw as chief development officer.

Shaw joins Battersea Power Station Development Company from Stanhope, where he was leading the retail team in unlocking city centre regeneration projects.

He will work alongside Battersea chief executive Rob Tincknell to bring forward the 39-acre project, which will include 3,400 homes, shops, office and leisure.

Tincknell said: “Alistair brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise, which will play a vital role in helping us deliver what is undoubtedly London’s most eagerly anticipated riverside development.” SP Setia, Sime Darby and Employees Provident Fund of Malaysia bought the power station for £400m in the summer.

Detailed plans for the first phase were submitted in October.
