Prime minister David Cameron is to announce a new project today to redevelop Battersea Power Station that will create 20,000 construction jobs.
Homes, offices, shops and a hotel are planned for the site, but the station’s iconic towers will be retained.
Funding for the project of up to £8 billion will be provided by Malaysian developers SP Setia, Sime Darby and the Employers Pension Fund of Malaysia.
