London-based developer Baylight has bought a Swindon call centre acclaimed for its dramatic architecture.
The 38,000 sq ft Arclite House at Hillmead Business Park has been sold for an undisclosed sum by Vodafone Ltd Cellular Operations.
The building is known in Swindon for its curved glazed atrium and reception area.
It was built by Cellular Operations in 1999, before the firm became part of
Vodafone. The premises have been sold with vacant possession.
Under its new owners, Arclite House will now be upgraded and refurbished to provide three separate units offering open plan office accommodation.
The three units will be between 5,000 sq ft and 23,000 sq ft, with rents quoted at £15 per sq ft.
It has also bought 3 acres of expansion land adjacent to Arclite House, which it plans to use for a small business village and office scheme.
GVA Grimley incorporating Osmond Tricks, which acted for the vendor has been appointed joint letting agent with Whitmarsh Lockhart.
