BBC could move two-thirds of jobs to regions

Two thirds of the BBC should be based outside London by 2027, according to plans outlined by the corporation’s director-general.

Tony Hall has said that the migration of the broadcaster from the capital to the regions, which has seen London roles reduce from two-thirds ten years ago to half today, could go further.

It is thought that the north of England would be the main destination for migrating jobs and departments.
