The founder and chairman of hotels specialist BDL Management, Louis Woodcock, has died.
Woodcock passed away at the weekend. He had been suffering from cancer for two years.
His CV includes founding BDL in 1997, which is now the UK’s largest hotel management company both for branded hotels and standalone properties. He also founded Adams Hotels to develop properties in Scotland in 1995.
In addition, Woodcock was a past chairman of both the Holiday Inn and Crowne Plaza owners committee.
He leaves a wife Carol, and two sons, Daniel and Anthony. A funeral service will be held on 17 September.
