BDO is being sued for up to £250m for alleged negligence over its role as administrator for One Blackfriars.
The accountancy and advisory firm was appointed in 2010 to wind own the site of the 52-storey South Bank skyscraper, which then had planning permission for 64 luxury apartments and a 261-bedroom hotel.
BDO sold the site to Berkeley Group for £77.4m. A decade later, liquidators to the project have accused BDO of selling the site for far less than it was worth.
Berkeley valued the site at £232m just 18 months after it was acquired, according to lawyers acting for the liquidators.
BDO said it will defend the claim in the High Court in June.
