Beer giant brews SABMiller brews up Woking requirement

One of the world’s largest brewers has affirmed its commitment to Woking, taking 65,000 sq ft at Insight Investment’s Shaw House on Victoria Way.

SABMiller, advised by Squarefoot Consulting, had a Thames Valley requirement for relocation from its 45,000 sq ft office at Duke’s Court, Woking.

The London-based brewer is in detailed negotiations to take the Shaw House space from IT services group Capgemini, advised by White Druce & Brown. Capgemini is subletting the space at around £20 per sq ft.

And in Basingstoke, JP Morgan Chase has been seeking 80,000 sq ft for disaster recovery and a further 60,000-80,000 sq ft for a data centre.

The bank has been looking closely at Morley’s V3 building and MEPC’s Redwood building at Chineham Business Park. But it has also asked adviser CBRE to find cheaper alternatives.
