Beevers joins Julian Hodge Bank

Julian Hodge Bank has appointed Kevin Beevers, HSBC’s former deputy head of corporate banking in Wales and the South West, as its commercial lending director.

The bank said Beevers joins “at a time when the volume of quality commercial property lending opportunities has started to increase”.

It added that Beevers has extensive banking and business experience with HSBC, having first joined Midland Bank as a graduate trainee.

As head of leveraged finance until 2010, the 45-year-old was responsible for some of the bank’s largest and most complex deals when representing HSBC in the corporate finance marketplace in Wales and with London-based private equity sponsors.

Julian Hodge Bank managing director David Austin said: “The potential for lending in the commercial property market is a little more buoyant than it was six months ago, particularly in London, where we have seen a marked increase in activity.”
