Bellway Homes has been given planning permission to build 584 homes and 40,000 sq ft of offices on industrial land at Hunts Cross near Liverpool.
Bellway plans to retain 10,000 sq ft of the offices in Edwards Lane for its own occupation and relocate its West Lancashire division to the site.
The 40-acre site was last used in the 1970s, when it was home to a glue factory and the Triumph TR7 manufacturing base.
Richard Edgington, managing director of Bellway in West Lancashire, said: “This scheme regenerates a brownfield site and sets a benchmark for housebuilding nationally.”
