Anschutz Entertainment Group has teamed up with David Beckham to launch a football academy on the Greenwich Peninsula, SE10. AEG has submitted a planning application to Greenwich borough council to build the Beckham Academy – comprising two covered pitches, changing and dining facilities, a shop and ancillary accommodation – at the East Parkside site. Planning consent is expected by the end of the month.
