Benetton is eyeing Bluewater shopping centre (pictured) in Kent as the location for its seventh UK megastore.
The Italian fashion retailer recently pulled out of negotiations to relocate to a 1,115 sq m (12,000 sq ft) unit adjacent to Next at Bluewater but is now in negotiations for 1,394 sq m (15,000 sq ft).
The company last year moved away from franchising and plans to open 30 wholly owned stores in the UK.
Benetton’s first UK megastore, a 1,394 sq m (15,000 sq ft) building, opened in Cardiff last September. It also has megastores in Southampton, Manchester, Brent Cross, Newcastle and two in Birmingham.
