Berkeley Group has shrugged off fears that the pandemic will lead to an exodus to the shires by buying development sites in London.
The housebuilder has bought four sites since the start of the pandemic — three in the capital and one in Oxford — with capacity for more than 2,800 homes.
Berkeley, which provides about 10% of the capital’s new homes, said its belief in London was “resolute”.
