Berkeley to build 404 homes in Birmingham

Berkeley’s St Joseph Homes has received planning permission for 404 flats in Birmingham.

Its plans for the Snow Hill Wharf project, on Shadwell Street, include five buildings built along the Birmingham and Fazeley Canal in the Gun Quarter.

Along with flats, the site will feature a gymnasium and various amenities for residents.

Richard Starkey, managing director of St Joseph Homes, said: “Birmingham’s development is still in the ascendant, with record levels of both residential and commercial projects. While the Jewellery Quarter and Digbeth have attracted many investors, the Gun Quarter has remained a largely untapped area of huge potential.”

St Joseph Homes has recently opened an office on Colmore Row in Birmingham’s city centre.
