Berkeley Group has urged the government to relax the ban on combustible cladding.
The developer has yet to complete the renovation of 20 of its tall buildings that feature the same cladding as that featured in the Grenfell Tower disaster.
Chief executive Rob Perrins said the blanket ban was extreme. “There should be a risk-based approach on the whole building.”
Berkeley added that ministers need to get the “feelgood factor” back into the housing market with stamp duty cuts and incentive schemes.
