The future of Berlin’s modern art gallery is in jeopardy after costs more than doubled to at least €450m.
The Museum der Moderne is supposed to open in the Potsdamer Platz next to the Berlin State Library in 2021.
Now cost projections are spooking even its few fans and sharpening the attacks of critics, who have likened the design to either a beer tent or a new branch of Aldi.
