Berwin Leighton have announced that Philip Bretherton will replace David Taylor as the firm’s head of property. Bretherton, who joined Berwin Leighton as a partner in 1994, is also set to become a member of the firm’s board.
Bretherton has been involved in a range of high-profile development schemes and Berwin Leighton’s e-commerce venture, Be-Professional. He has expressed a strong interest in furthering the firm’s use of technology to deliver legal services.
The appointment follows the departure earlier this month of David Taylor, who left to join Herbert Smith’s property team.
