BGF ups Apex Airspace investment

The Business Growth Fund has agreed a £3m investment for airspace developer Apex Airspace, bringing its total equity invested to £9.3m.

Apex will use the finance to fund the delivery of its pipeline in Enfield, Southwark and Sutton. It will also invest in technology and market research to identify future opportunities.

The developer partners with councils, local authorities and private market freeholders to develop off-site constructed modular homes on top of existing buildings. It is currently in talks with a number of retailers to expand this to large stores and supermarkets.

Arshad Bhatti, founder and chief executive officer of Apex Airspace, said: “With a healthy pipeline of 2,400 homes currently in discussion, as well as a fast-growing workforce and a brand new office in the capital, this £3m equity investment will help us deliver much-needed new homes to people across the UK.”
