Bhuchar takes top job at Deutsche Bank

Rishi Bhuchar has been promoted to head of real estate, gaming, lodging and leisure in EMEA at Deutsche Bank.

Bhuchar previously co-headed Deutsche’s real estate division alongside Klaus Elmendorff, but will now take sole charge of one the largest investment banking property teams in Europe. It is understood that Elmendorff is continuing at Deutsche but no longer in the co-head position.

Bhuchar joined Deutsche Bank in 2015 having previously been at EY where he was a partner in its real estate corporate finance team.

In the past year he has advised clients including Unibail-Rodamco on its £18.2bn takeover of Westfield and Hammerson on its defence against Klépierre’s takeover approach.
