Bicester Arc expansion gets the green light

Planning approval has been granted for a 60,000 sq ft office building at the 48-acre Bicester Arc commercial park, near Bicester Village, Oxfordshire.

The four-floor, grade-A office will come with a 15-acre eco park for the sole use of the occupier.

The building is set to benefit from dedicated primary power substation, delivering 13.72 MVA of electricity to the park from the second quarter of next year.

The development is being delivered by a joint venture between Sladen Estates and Peveril Securities and forms a part of the wider masterplan, which has outline planning consent for more than 600,000 sq ft of offices and research and development facilities.

Rachel Wood, managing director at Sladen, said: “The secured electricity provides us with a major competitive advantage, enabling the park to accommodate a variety of businesses. We aim to capitalise on this by commencing construction of the BREEAM Excellent-rated office building in spring 2025, allowing occupation from autumn 2026 of either half floors or the entire building by a sole occupier.”
