High-Road-West-TottenhamHaringay Council has invited potential partners to join a competitive tender process for a 27-acre site in north Tottenham, N17.

The council announced the bidding process ahead of a briefing day on 13 June.

The High Road West scheme has the potential for 1,400 new homes, including 145 social houses and 46 shared equity homes.

In addition, the site will provide 51,600 sq ft of retail space and 32,300 sq ft of leisure space and 10,000 sq ft of space for businesses. The local community will also be provided with a library and learning centre.

Leader of Haringey Council Claire Kober said: “Today we start the search for an ambitious partner to help us deliver a new neighbourhood for Tottenham with more than 1,400 new homes. Tottenham has a rich history, strong community, great transport links, a successful Premier League club and new businesses opening every week. The new homes in High Road West will improve the quality of life for Tottenham residents and give local people new opportunities to get on in life.”

Bilfinger GVA will lead the bidding process.
