Property consultancy Bidwells has doubled the size of its energy and renewables team with the appointment of two new partners.
The move comes as Bidwells continues to build its experience in the sector, where it currently oversees the development of 4.2 GW of onshore wind projects, managing the development of 1.5 GW of battery storage projects, and is advising on more than 1 GW of solar projects.
Chris Thyer (pictured, left) joins as a partner from rural land and property consultancy GSC Grays, where he led the energy team.
His responsibilities included managing the construction of renewable energy projects, from seeking out and promoting suitable land to guiding projects through to commissioning.
Susannah Hibbard (pictured, right) also joined as a partner last month, from Enso Energy, where she was a senior land manager developing a portfolio of solar and battery storage projects.
Prior to that, Hibbard spent over 10 years working in the utilities and infrastructure sector, including working for Cadent Gas, formerly part of the National Grid.
In her new role, Hibbard will utilise her expertise towards assisting developers and landowners in the development of wind and solar renewable energy projects.
