Storage specialist Big Yellow is to continue its expansion with a new 42,000 sq ft complex at the site of Gloucester’s former ambulance station.
The company has applied to Gloucestershire Council for planning permission for the development at Eastern Avenue.
Big Yellow said in November it intended to continue its expansion programme with the purchase of six to eight new sites a year.
It reported interim pre-tax profit up from £33.2m to £42.2m on revenue up from £15.6m to £20.3m
The group has 20 stores in London and it is expanding in the Midlands, the North and Scotland.
However, it has also warned that the availability of affordable property is limited.
