Self-storage company Big Yellow Group reported a 23% rise in sales for the third quarter 2005, to £10.8m, against the same period last year.
The result was up 1% on the previous quarter.
Sales in the nine months to 31st December 2005 rose to £42.5m from £35m in 2004.
Initial trading of its store in North Kensington which opened on 12th December has
been encouraging, and it expects to open a new store in central Bristol in March 2006.
Chief executive James Gibson said: “In line with last year we have seen a slight growth in turnover, quarter on quarter, and a small loss in occupancy late in the quarter over the Christmas holiday period.
“January has started positively with increases in prospect calls and reservations and we look forward to our historically stronger trading period.”
