Big Yellow Group has appointed Landmark Trust chief executive Dr Anna Keay as a non-executive director with effect from 1 March 2018.
Keay will serve on the self storage company’s audit, remuneration and nomination committees.
She has been chief executive of the Landmark Trust since 2012, operating a portfolio of 200 historic buildings let for holidays. Keay began her career at Historic Royal Palaces and from 2002 to 2012 she was curatorial director of English Heritage; she was also a trustee of Leeds Castle Foundation from 2009 to 2016. She writes and broadcasts widely, presenting on history and buildings for Channel 4. Keay is a member of the National Trust Collection and Interpretation Advisory Group and is a governor and chair of the buildings and projects committee at Bedales School.
Nicholas Vetch, executive chairman, said: “It is important for boards to have different and diverse perspectives and experiences, and Anna will bring those qualities to Big Yellow and will be a significant addition to the company.”
