One of Scotland’s leading investment agents and head of GVA Grimley’s Glasgow office has quit the firm.
Bill Binnie, who was the only equity partner in the Glasgow office, set up the original office of Grimley JR Eve, as it was then known, in 1991.
He has left to set up his own niche practice, after a rift with fellow directors in Scotland over the structure of the Scottish business, following last year’s appointment of Keith Aitken, formerly of CBRE, to run the Edinburgh office.
A Grimley statement said: “After 14 years in the Glasgow office, it has been mutually agreed with Bill Binnie that he will leave to pursue new opportunities. The partners wish him every success.”
