A biennial Watch List of the world’s most endangered sites, published by the World Monuments Fund, includes an Edwardian swimming baths in Birmingham and a mansion in Yorkshire.
The swimming baths are Grade II-listed, but cannot be maintained by the local authority. Wentworth Woodhouse is Grade I-listed, and is up for sale for £8m but needs extensive work due to subsidence.
The list comprises 50 sites spread over 36 countries. It includes an Albanian prison and all of Nepal’s cultural heritage sites.
