Birmingham council selects Bond Wolfe for surplus sales

Bond Wolfe Auctions has won the contract to handle the disposal of Birmingham City Council’s surplus property and land assets.

The appointment will result in a number of lots being offered at auction, with many already confirmed for Bond Wolfe’s 9 May sale – including a detached house on Fentham Road, Erdington, and a parcel of land on Runcorn Road, Sparkbrook.

The council regularly disposes of assets within its portfolio, including office blocks, former educational facilities and development sites that are suitable for both residential and commercial uses.

Bond Wolfe Auctions held its first sale last month, raising £16.7m with a 90% success rate.

The firm was launched in early 2019 by chief executive Gurpreet Bassi and managing director Ian Tudor, who previously were the heads of residential and commercial auctions respectively at Bigwood.
