The Birmingham head office of the electricity regulator Offer is to close.
The national and regional offices of Offer and gas regulator Ofgas will merge.
London has been chosen as the location for the combined headquarters. It has been chosen over Birmingham because it is deemed to be more convenient and better placed to attract and keep top quality staff.
