Birmingham is aiming to boost construction of office space as it looks to pitch itself as a financial services hub of the future and a more affordable alternative to London.
Among the planned construction, focused on the Colmore business area, are 340,000 sq ft of space in the Paradise Circus building and 400,000 sq ft of space in the Three Snowhill building.
The city’s council is supporting plans that will see the city vie with the likes of Frankfurt and Zurich to attract businesses.
