Bizspace, which operates flexibly leased industrial space, announced a small profit in its first set of interim results.
For the six months to August 31st 2001, the group made pre-tax profits of £62,000, on gross income of £1.4m. Earnings per share were 0.6p. No comparable figures were available as the group only floated last year.
Chairman Larry Lipman said yesterday the group was continuing to strengthen itself through the appointment of a financial controller and a property manager. “We anticipate by the end of November the controlling management of nine centres will be taken in-house, with the remaining centres coming in early in the new year,” he said.
Lipman also said £3m had been raised for the firm’s expansion programme, which after gearing, would allow £10m of new Bizspace centres.
