BL agrees 50,000 sq ft of lettings with Outfit

British Land has agreed four lettings totalling 50,000 sq ft with Outfit.

The fashion retailer will take 12,500 sq ft at the Mayflower Retail Park in Basildon and Orbital Shopping Park in Swindon. Outfit has also regeared two existing leases: 15,000 sq ft at the Teeside Shopping Park in Stockton-on-Tees and 10,000 sq ft at the Fort Kinnaird Shopping Park in Edinburgh. All leases have been taken on a 10-year basis.

British Land was represented by Harvey Spack Field at Mayflower Retail Park, Wilkinson Williams and JLL at Teesside Shopping Park, CWM and Savills at Orbital Shopping Park and Montagu Evans and Eric Young & Co at Fort Kinnaird Shopping Park.

John Maddison, head of retail park asset management for British Land, said: “We are delighted to have agreed this series of deals with Outfit, particularly at Mayflower Retail Park which recently saw Next upsize to a 47,500 sq ft store.

“The openings will broaden and complement the existing fashion provision across these parks and strengthen our relationship with one of our key tenants.”
