British Land has bought the 425,000 sq ft Drake Circus shopping centre in Plymouth for £240m.
The deal represents the start of the unravelling of David Ross’s property investment empire, Kandahar Real Estate, which has been in breach of covenants on debt secured from Lloyds Banking Group. Ross is considering placing the rest of his property empire into a joint venture with a new partner.
