British Land chief executive Chris Grigg is to be president of the British Property Federation in 2012.
Grigg, in The Times’s Monday manifesto, feature dismisses the argument that success in property is innate and based on “gut”. He says when people talk about their gut it is really a judgment based on information, but information they got in an obscure way.
He has answered critics who murmured that there was a lot of planning and not enough action, with a number of hirings, sales and acquisitions. The company has begun to develop again, he said, and its London office exposure has become a strong asset again in a market hungry for new space.
