Steve Smith, British Land’s chief investment officer, is leaving the REIT.
Smith, who joined BL in 2009 from Axa Real Estate Investment Management, where he was global head of asset management, is understood to be leaving as he feels he has fulfilled his brief of reviewing the business’s strategy.
Discussions regarding the timing and terms of his departure are ongoing with chief executive Chris Grigg.
BL was not immediately available for comment.
