British Land has submitted plans to create a new park within its £1.5bn development of Broadgate, EC3.
The park, which will extend to 64,500sq ft, will be the largest pedestrianised neighbourhood in central London, according to the developer.
British Land will redevelop the Exchange Square site by Liverpool Street Station into the public park, which will also include restaurant and event space as well as a water feature.
British Land head of Broadgate David Lockyer said: “We’re excited about the opportunity to create a new park at Broadgate that will help improve people’s wellbeing and that can be enjoyed by all the community.”
