Black Women in Real Estate has launched a campaign to support more junior real estate professionals.
BWRE has teamed up with chartered quantity surveyors Quaye Services, which will sponsor five memberships.
The campaign started yesterday and will continue until 21st July 2023.
QS Ltd founder and MD Nii Klotey Quaye said: “We are proud to contribute to the professional development of Black women who are in the early stages of their careers. By providing access to a network filled with experienced and accomplished Real Estate experts, we are certain we will be helping them to receive an invaluable, constructive impact on their careers in the long-term. BWRE’s dedication to promoting diversity and inclusion by addressing under-representation in the industry aligns perfectly with our values of integrity and sustainability.”
BWRE, which has a network of 400 professionals, was founded in 2019 to address the issue of under-representation in real estate.
It creates spaces for Black women to connect, empower one another and grow their reach and influence through a combined voice.
Founder Hanna Afolabi said: “As Black women, we often find ourselves isolated without a community, even in diverse spaces where we remain a minority. By supporting junior Black women in real estate, we can alleviate this feeling and increase their chances of thriving at work. We hope this is just the beginning of more campaigns like this, further increasing support for the important work our organisation does.”
