Blackstone boss in line for Trump job

donal-trump-and-jonathan-grayUS president-elect Donald Trump is considering appointing Blackstone real estate boss Jonathan Gray as Treasury secretary, according to Politico.

Gray, who is head of global real estate at Blackstone Group, met with Trump on Sunday afternoon and reportedly discussed the position.

At Blackstone, he manages a portfolio of $102bn (£82.6bn) of assets.

Gray was appointed to the group board in 2012, in a move which was seen to put him in line to become the future chief executive of the business.

Blackstone declined to comment.
