Blackstone and Goldman Sachs are thought to be considering individual bids for 1,500 Spanish rental properties put up for sale by Merlin Properties Socimi.
Non-binding bids are due by 10 November and a deal could be agreed later this year, people with knowledge of the matter said.
The rental properties were valued at €276m at the end of last year and are 95% occupied.
