Blackstone subsidiary Treptowers has agreed the largest letting in Germany at its Treptowers office in Berlin.
The firm has leased just shy of 940,000 sq ft of space to Deutsche Rentenversicherung Bund.
The building, the former headquarters of Allianz, will now undergo extensive renovation until the end of 2022, when the new tenant will move in. The renovation will be managed by the property’s asset manager, OFFICEFIRST.
Jan-Niklas Rotberg, director and team leader in office agency for Berlin at Savills Germany, which advised on the deal, said: “Berlin continues to be one of the most attractive office markets, not just in Germany but in all of Europe. This long-term agreement is a landmark deal and further underlines the positive fundamentals of the market.”
Celexis Real Estate Partners, Samp Schilling & Partner and Hengeler Mueller advised OFFICEFIRST on the deal.
