Blackstone-owned EQ Office has appointed Alex Vouvalides as CEO and Josh Hatfield as COO.
The pair succeed Frank Campbell, who will step down as COO and interim CEO on 6 June after a 26-year career at EQ. He will remain with the company for three months to ensure a smooth transition.
The US office portfolio company, which is wholly owned by Blackstone’s real estate funds, has 20m sq ft across the US including in Chicago, New York, Los Angeles and Seattle, with around 1,500 customers.
Vouvalides said that he was honoured to be joining the team “during a pivotal moment in the industry”.

Vouvalides and Hatfield have worked closely together since 2014, when they were both executives at Hudson Pacific Properties.
At HPP, Vouvalides most recently served as the COO and CIO. Hatfield served as the executive vice president of operations at HPP, where he oversaw HPP’s 20m sq ft portfolio.
In 2021, the pair co-founded Eagle Point Capital Partners, a real estate investment firm focused on acquiring, developing, and operating premier office properties in high-growth, technology-anchored markets.

Campbell said that he was “confident EQ is in good hands with Alex and Josh at the helm”.
Meanwhile, Blackstone’s head of real estate asset management for the Americas, Rob Harper, said: “We are confident in the future demand for high quality offices, and Alex and Josh are the ideal leaders to drive the evolution of EQ’s customer-focused approach.”
