A Victorian glass factory turned Hollywood film set in Clerkenwell is to be offered to developers by its family owners. DTZ will market the Farmiloe Building at 34 St John Street, EC1, which has consent for a 64,777 sq ft redevelopment and extension.
The Feilden Clegg Bradley-designed scheme will retain the listed Victorian warehouse, which has been used as a film set for blockbusters including Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy.
It proposes replacing the current 1930s extension and adjoining Atcost building with a five-storey structure. No guide price has been set, but bids in excess of £35m for the freehold are expected.
