Bloor Homes gets planning approval for Cheshire residential scheme

Housebuilder Bloor Homes’ residential scheme at Viking Way in Congleton has secured approval from Cheshire East Council.

The project, which will create 154 new homes, 18% of which will be affordable, forms a part of the Congleton Business Park, a mixed-use development which secured outline planning permission in February.

In addition to new homes, Bloor will deliver part of the east-west “greenway”, a piece of pedestrian and cyclist infrastructure that will connect the scheme with the North Congleton neighbourhood.

Bloor Homes planning director Kate McClean said: “Having purchased the site in April, this timely reserved matters approval is the first step towards launching our development offering a range of two-, three- and four-bedroom homes.”

Bloor Homes was advised by Asteer Planning.
