Bloor Homes is set to receive approval for the development of 800 homes in Milton Keynes.
The developer has submitted an outline application to Milton Keynes City Council for a mixed-use scheme on Willen Road.
The 114-acre site forms part of the wider Milton Keynes East Strategic Urban Extension that was allocated for the future delivery of a new community of around 5,000 homes.
The site, located to the north-east of the M1, currently comprises arable farmland and pasture.
Bloor Homes’ proposal includes redeveloping the site into 800 one-, two- and three-bedroom homes, 30% of which will be affordable.
The proposal also includes the development of a local centre, primary school and green space.
