BL’s 155 Bishopsgate hits 85% occupancy as tenants snap up extra space

British Land’s 155 Bishopsgate, EC2, has hit 85% occupancy as tenants increase their space.

Three longstanding leaseholders have signed for an extra 60,000 sq ft in the newly refurbished building.

Marex Securities has more than doubled its space after signing for almost 17,000 sq ft on the fourth floor. The global financial services platform will be adding to the 37,000 sq ft it already occupies on the fifth floor.

Event and meeting space provider etc.venues has doubled its conference offering on the first floor of the building, taking its total commitment to 40,000 sq ft across the first and second floors.

And global tech talent marketplace Levin has taken BL’s entire Storey space for its new London headquarters. It marks the third upsize at Broadgate for the company.

Mike Wiseman, head of office leasing at British Land, said: “As businesses re-evaluate their future workspace requirements, demand is gravitating towards best-in-class, sustainable space, with excellent amenities and flexibility built in.”

He said the expansions at 155 Bishopsgate are a testament to “the appeal of London campuses” that provide flexibility for businesses to expand as their requirements evolve, while continuing to benefit from the excellent amenities, proximity to key transport links and other innovative businesses.”
