Blueprint chooses design team for maiden project

Regeneration Partnership Blueprint, has appointed a team of masterplanners and architects for its first project since its inception in September.

The partnership has chosen a combined design team of Studio Egret West, Hawkins Brown and Grant Associates to develop a 12 acre site opposite Nottingham University, which forms the second phase of the 20-year old Nottingham Science and Technology Park.

The £50m project will see the sustainable redevelopment of over 220,000 sq ft of research and development space will be built over the next 10-years, including a 35,000 sq ft initial development of small business space for fledgling hi-tech businesses.

The scheme will see a series of raised two storey structures set in a natural parkland environment overlooking a public open space which will link the University campus on the opposite side of University Boulevard with the nature reserve to the south of the site at Dunkirk Pond.

Blueprint is a partnership between the East Midlands Development Agency (EMDA) and English Partnerships (EP) together with Morley Fund Management’s igloo Regeneration Partnership.
