A raft of restaurant operators have signed up to the Plaza, the new dining destination at Bluewater shopping centre in Kent.
The nine brands, five of which are new to Bluewater, will occupy a total of more than 43,000 sq ft.
On the upper level of the Plaza, Jamie’s Italian is opening a 7,100 sq ft restaurant, Wagamama is to occupy a 5,800 sq ft restaurant, TGI Friday is refitting its existing 9,500 sq ft restaurant and Ed’s Easy Diner is increasing its total size to 2,800 sq ft
On the lower level of the Plaza, Wahaca, the “Mexican market eating” brand, is to open a 3,900 sq ft restaurant and bar, Balans is to open a 3,00 sq ft restaurant and bar and Browns is to open a 9,000 sq ft new design concept.
The Plaza will link Bluewater’s Thames Walk to the forthcoming Events Venue.
Guy Thomas, head of retail leasing at Lend Lease, said: “The Events Venue at Bluewater is a significant addition that will create a very different offer for guests. It is vital, therefore, to create a restaurant offer that complements the experience by delivering a sense of entertainment and theatre.”
Shelley Sandzer, DTZ and CB Richard Ellis acted for Bluewater.
