Bluhm leaves FMS Wertmanagement

boardroom-table-THUMB.jpegChristian Bluhm has stepped down as the chief risk and finance officer of German bad bank FMS Wertmanagement.

Bluhm was a founder board member of the bank, which was formed in 2010 to wind up Hypo Real Estate’s portfolio. His departure has come nearly two years ahead of the end of his contract.

In a statement FMS said Bluhm was leaving to pursue different professional challenges. He will be replaced by Stephan Winkelmeier.

Winkelmeier had previously been chief risk officer for the Bank Austria Group, chief financial officer for Bayerische Landesbank and also chief executive of its internal restructuring unit.

Winkelmeier will join FMS in October this year, and will have the position of spokesman of the executive board as well as chief risk and financial officer.

Bluhm will continue as an adviser to FMS until the end of 2015.
