Blummyz lands in SW10

An Italian restaurant from Saint Tropez is opening its first UK branch in west London.

Blummyz has been assigned the lease from the former Italian restaurant Friends on Hollywood Road, SW10, which was owned by Chelsea Football Club star Roberto Di Matteo.

Blummyz has taken the ground floor and basement shop, totalling 1,600 sq ft, at a passing rent of £40,000 pa on a 15-year lease from September 2008. The landlord is a private investor, Frederico Amorosi.

Blummyz founder Elliott Blum also owns Cristina, an Italian restaurant, which attracts the local elite in Saint Tropez.

Josh Leon, at Davis Coffer Lyons, which acted for Amorosi, said: “This was a quiet off-market sale for a site which went quickly, yet still commanded a hefty premium for the lease. The restaurant market in this part of central London, as with close by Fulham and Kensington, is as exciting and desirable as it has ever been.”

The Leisure Partnership advised Blummyz.
